Hamilton Golf & Country Club

Nov 25, 2020

I truly believe that the Hamilton Golf and Country Club (actually located in Ancaster, funny enough) is VERY underrated in the category of Wedding Venues.

The first time I had a wedding at this venue I was wowed by the space and the staff there. You roll up to the Iron gate which beholds this haven of a golf/country club supported by their lovely community members.

I felt like writing about this venue because I always hear about other venues but I this one is on the DL or is more low key. But, it's actually one of my favourites!

Why you might ask? Because the space is so versatile. You have a Huge space to yourself, which includes: a fireplace, an in-house-bar, Bridal Suites to get ready, and their in-house-chef.

This day the ceremony was actually supposed to be outside, but it was so windy as unpredictable Canadian weather is, that we had to move it inside last minute.

As a floral designer you have to be fast, so we had to setup her arch in the cocktail room which is so stunning and large, so it worked out beautifully.

I worked with the couples budget to accentuate the space with their chosen colours of white and blue. I decorated the fireplace with giving it some dimension for the eye and a nice layout for pictures.

For the guest tables high classic arrangement with whites were added. And for the accent tables, I created different looks for each.

The pictures never do justice so you will have to go see the venue yourself. If you're looking for a golf course venue this could be for you!

Covid Bridal Wedding Styled Shoot

Sept 17, 2020

This Months feature is a COVID styled Bridal Photoshoot at the Millworks Creative Studio in cozy Dundas Ontario.

Afterglow Images  and I wanted to create something that looked and felt a little surreal to fit with the times.

Dried florals are now trending and it's due to the pandemic. With the impact of airports and floral wholesalers being shutdown, it started the rise in dried florals becoming popular once again.

This trend is indeed here to stay. With so many new items that can be dried and Pampas Grass being a major component of of many weddings.

PS. If you're looking for a NEW MAKEUP ARTIST checkout  South Coast Beauty Co. does a modern classic glam look I highly recommend!
